A Typical Day

Here is our basic routine order; it may be a little different day to day due to our special classes. Each week your child will have four special classes: art, technology, music and gym.

Friday - Art, Music

Gym Days:

Please be sure your child wears tennis shoes for gym. Other types of shoes can wreck the gym flooring. Therefore, children without tennis shoes will have to sit out and not be able to practice.

Wanted: Parent Volunteers

I usually like to have parent volunteers in each day to help with classroom skills.  I will begin volunteers in October.  If you can help at least one day a week for about 60 minutes on a regular basis please fill out the attached note.  If one day a week is too much please indicate that on the form and I would be happy to schedule you every other week or even once a month.  There will be also be many opportunities for occasional help such as holiday parties, field trips, special class activities, etc.  I will do my best to give you as much notice as possible for these events.  Our district policy is that all parent volunteers must fill out an application before working in the class or going ona field trip.  Please be sure to fill out a volunteer form in the beginning of the year so if an opportunity comes available you have the paperwork taken care of.

Star of the Week

The students and I love getting to know more about each other.  To aid in this, every week we will celebrate one student as the Star of the Week.  I will be assigning weeks alphabetically and will send home a schedule of dates in an upcoming note home.
