Hello and welcome to our third grade classroom! This will be my third
year teaching at Lynch Elementary. Last year I had the opportunity to
teach third grade and had such a great experience! Previous to that, I
taught an Early Fives/Kindergarten split classroom at Lynch and enjoyed
it just the same. In addition to teaching, I will also be acting as the
district’s K-5 Social Studies Department Chair. I strongly
believe in becoming a better citizen through lifelong learning.
Therefore, after having attended Grand Valley State University for my
undergraduate degree in education, I am currently pursuing my master's
degree from Michigan State University. When I am not teaching,
you can find me hanging out near the water in the summer or spending
time snowboarding during the winter season.
I expect a very busy and enriching school year for your
child. Although all subjects will be taught, there will be an added
emphasis on reading, writing, and math. You will be amazed at the
progress your child makes this year. I have very high expectations for
all my students and hope you will encourage your child at home by
participating in take home activities (homework, projects, family
activities). I highly recommend parental involvement, as it enhances
your child’s educational experience and keeps you well informed of
what’s going on in our classroom.
