What is STEM Education and PLTW?
This year at Lynch Elementary you can expect your students to be talking about STEM and PLTW when you ask them about their day. But many people may be wondering what do these acronyms stand for? STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and PLTW (Project Lead The Way) are both cutting edge educational programs that allow students be immersed in the learning experience. STEM education promotes life-long learning by developing problem solving skills through student centered lessons. PLTW encourages students to become critical thinkers, investigators and public speakers through the use of technology and group projects. We are very excited to provide these opportunities for students and committed to the continued growth of STEM integration for all students at Lynch Elementary.
